Recap and Feedback
Opening an address, following a link, or submitting a form starts a request. Your Python program connects that request to records, an HTML response, and any saved changes.
Connecting Requests, Pages, and Storage
Route functions connect requests to Python operations. They receive input, call functions such as add_task, and return responses. A POST adds a record and redirects to a GET request that displays the list.
Templates connect records to HTML. Context dictionaries make values available under agreed names. Interpolation, loops, and conditions display those values and empty states. Stable identifiers connect list links to detail records. Ordinary insertion preserves record text as data.
JSON files preserve records between runs. Read the current collection, append a record, and save the complete list. A GET displays records without writing the file. Restarting the application retrieves the saved records.
In Part 6, a terminal interface connected commands to model operations. Here routes and templates provide that interface.
Optional: revisit one connection
Choose an example to review: a value from JSON to HTML, submitting a form, or saving a record. Choose a task title and identify where the code reads it, passes it to another function, and displays or saves it.
The same record-processing skills also support data analysis. In Part 8, you will select and summarize a supplied table of study sessions, then present the results in charts.
Feedback
Estimate your total study time to the nearest 0.5 hours. In the optional improvement field, you can describe a difficult chapter or exercise and what would have helped.
Reflection and feedback
0 / 5 points
Consider the following statements and answer them based on your experiences from studying the materials and working on the assignments in this part. When answering the numeric statements, answer them so that value 1 means that you strongly disagree with the statement, and value 7 means that you strongly agree with the statement. Please be as honest as possible when answering. The feedback will be used to improve the course.
