OpenCS is Aalto University's open online platform offering free computer science courses for anyone, anywhere. Whether you're starting your journey in tech or expanding your skills, you'll find high-quality, university-level learning at your fingertips.

Study at your own pace, mostly with no strict deadlines. The courses are open for learning free of charge, and everyone worldwide can gain valuable, practical knowledge in topics ranging from web development to modern programming languages.

Since July 16, 2026, OpenCS courses can still be studied freely, but they no longer provide official Aalto credits for non-Aalto learners. Aalto students should always check SISU and MyCourses for the most up-to-date information on the courses.
