Data & Data Scalability
Recap and Feedback
In the second part of the course, you explored the fundamental consistency models ACID and BASE, along with the CAP and PACELC theorems. These concepts highlight the trade-offs involved in maintaining consistency within distributed data systems. A significant portion of this section was dedicated to understanding database performance and the various methods to enhance it, including indexing, denormalization, and caching. Additionally, you began working on the course’s overarching project, which you will continue to develop in the upcoming parts.
Please take a moment to reflect on your experiences in this part of the course and provide your feedback. Your feedback helps us improve the course materials and the overall learning experience.
